Aloe lotion, a technological transfer to contribute to local development in Remedios, Cuba
Abstract
This research was developed from the need of applying science and innovation from the University addressed to the biomedical strategic sector with the objective of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and contributing to the local development of the territory, by making an antibacterial Aloe solution; for this purpose, scientific research methods were applied, including observation, survey, and interview, applied to the population and institution workers from the territory that contributed to determining the product effectiveness and its acceptance. The work reveals results in the social practice that led to offer in the Green Medicine pharmacies of the territory a product capable of guaranteeing the sanitization of hands and smooth surfaces, contributing to the prevention of COVID-19 virus, besides having an economic impact in the territory of $ 27,692.00 that favors the municipal government budget and the local territory development from the application of science and scientific knowledge for the society benefit.
