Peer review

Procedure for the selection and approval of articles

The articles are reviewed by the Editorial Committee of the Knowledge, Knowledge and Practice Magazine. Subsequently, they will be subjected to the judicial process with the external peer review system with the double-blind modality that implies the anonymity of authors and evaluators. When the article is assigned for opinion, the arbitration process will take 5 weeks.

Selection of referees

These opinion-makers must be specialists in the subject matter dealt with in the writing and of recognized academic prestige (master's degree or doctorate), with expertise in their professional and research field, as well as articles published in scientific journals.

Stages of the review process

  1. Check to verify that the document complies with the requirements requested in the publication standards of the Electronic Journal of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Practices.
  2. Verification that the article does not contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism and that it correctly attributes the ideas of other people.
The Director assigns experts to carry out the review according to the subject of the article.
  3. The ruling begins with the following phases: (1) For the review, two experts are sent, external to the journal's publishing entity; and (2) the evaluating experts must deliver the evaluations with the document used by the journal. This will be done depending on the type of article.
  4. The evaluating experts decide the article through the evaluation criteria regarding the refereed document: (1) Publish; (2) Publish when the author makes the adjustments raised in the recommendations indicated by the expert evaluators; and (3) Do not publish.
  5. If the case is presented that one of the expert evaluators does not agree with the publication of the article, it will be submitted for review by a third evaluator, whose opinion will serve to resolve the discrepancy and make a final decision in consensus with the Editorial Board of the Electronic Journal of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Practices.
  6. In the event that a conflict arises not foreseen in this modality, it will be the responsibility of the Editorial Board to make the corresponding decision.
  7. If the opinion of the article recommends some corrections, the author will be responsible for making them, within the period established by the Journal (generally two weeks, 15 business days), and must send the document by email. If it is not delivered on the stipulated date, the article has no guarantee of appearing in the next issue to be published.
  8. Once the author returns the article with the integrated settings, these will be verified and, if necessary, it will be sent back to the author, until the document is refined.
With the article ready, the Editorial Board certifies endorsement for the publication of the article.
